Tamar
Efrony was born in Vienna, Austria. When the Nazis entered Austria
in 1938, she managed to escape to Palestine where, together with
a group of young pioneers, she helped establish Kibbutz Gesher
in the Jordan Valley. |

Tamar Efrony's
art is varied in style; the influence of Aztec and Inca motifs
is clearly discernible in her ceramic sculptures, while her
pottery is inspired by ancient and Middle Eastern styles.
